Govt. Thiruvarur Medical College was started in 1st April 2010 in Thiruvarur District at the Master Plan Complex, Vilamal Village, Thiruvarur. This Medical College was established to meet the rising demand for medical care amongst our rural public aroun Thiruvarur. The college was approved by MCI for hundred students and it is affiliated to Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai.
The flagship course of TMC Thiruvarur is MBBS, admission which is based on marks obtained in the NEET UG exam. The other courses offered at TMC are MD, MS, and Diploma. Admission to these courses are held on the basis of NEET PG results.
