About MCC NEET PG Counselling
The NEET PG counselling is a crucial and mandatory process for all candidates who wish to secure a seat in MD/MS/PG Diploma courses in India. Conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), this online process is responsible for the seat allotment for various quotas, including:
- 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical and dental colleges across India.
- 100% seats in Central Universities like AIIMS, JIPMER, and BHU.
- 100% seats in all Deemed Universities.
- Seats under the Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) and Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS).
The counselling process is conducted in multiple rounds, typically including Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up, and Stray Vacancy rounds, to ensure all available seats are filled.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to participate in the MCC NEET PG counselling, a candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Qualifying in NEET PG 2025: You must have a valid NEET PG 2025 score and meet the minimum qualifying percentile for your respective category as announced by NBEMS.
- MBBS Degree: You must hold a valid MBBS Degree from a college recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
- Internship Completion: You must have completed or are scheduled to complete your one-year compulsory rotating internship by the cut-off date specified by NBEMS.
- Registration: You must possess a permanent or provisional registration certificate issued by the NMC or a State Medical Council.

When you report to your allotted college, you will need to present the following original documents along with their self-attested photocopies:
- NEET PG 2025 Admit Card
- NEET PG 2025 Scorecard / Rank Letter
- MCC Allotment Letter
- MBBS Marksheets (of all professional years)
- MBBS Degree Certificate
- Internship Completion Certificate
- Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate issued by NMC/State Medical Council
- High School Certificate or Birth Certificate (for date of birth proof)
- Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, etc.)
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (if applicable, for OBC candidates)
- EWS Certificate (if applicable)
- Disability Certificate (if applicable, for PwD candidates)
How to Apply
The application process for MCC NEET PG counselling is entirely online and follows a step-by-step procedure:
- Registration: Visit the official MCC website and register using your NEET PG credentials (Roll Number, Application Number, etc.).
- Fee Payment: Pay the non-refundable registration fee and a refundable security deposit online. The amount varies depending on your category and the type of institution you are applying for.
- Choice Filling: After successful registration and payment, you must fill in your preferred choices of colleges and courses. It is crucial to arrange these choices in your order of priority.
- Choice Locking: Once you have finalized your choices, you must lock them before the specified deadline. If you fail to lock your choices, they will be automatically locked by the system.
- Seat Allotment: The MCC will then process the seat allotment based on your NEET PG rank, filled choices, category, and seat availability.
- Download Allotment Letter: If a seat is allotted to you, you must download the seat allotment letter from the MCC website.
- Reporting to Allotted College: The final step is to physically report to the allotted college within the given timeframe for document verification and admission formalities.
