Odisha NEET PG Counselling 2026 is the centralized, merit-based state admission process for postgraduate medical degree and diploma courses (MD, MS, and PG Diploma) across government and private medical colleges, administered online by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Bhubaneswar, Government of Odisha.

50% of postgraduate seats in Odisha Government Medical Colleges are surrendered to the All India Quota (AIQ) managed by MCC, while the remaining 50% of government seats, in-service quota seats, and available private sector seats are administered by DMET Odisha.

1. State Quota (50% in Government Medical Institutions)

  • Comprises 50% of seats in Odisha Government Medical Colleges (SCB Medical College Cuttack, MKCG Medical College Berhampur, VIMSAR Burla, IGGMCH Sundargarh).
  • Reserved for candidates with valid Odisha residency/domicile, or MBBS graduates from a recognized Odisha institution; reservation applies for SC, ST, and PwD.
  • Fee: Highly subsidized government academic fee scale.

2. In-Service Quota (In-Service Doctors)

  • Designated seats earmarked for qualified medical officers serving under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Odisha.
  • Requires prescribed rural/remote service years, valid NOC, and NEET PG qualification within required state merit brackets.
  • Fee: Subsidized government fee scale backed by service bond regulations.

3. Management / Institutional Quota (Private Medical Colleges)

  • Institutional and management pool seats across participating private medical colleges and DNB institutions in Odisha.
  • Open to NEET PG qualified aspirants on merit following state guidelines.
  • Fee: Regulated private tuition fee prescribed by the state fee committee.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have qualified NEET PG 2026 conducted by NBEMS with the mandatory minimum qualifying percentile.
  • Must possess a recognized MBBS degree or provisional pass certificate from an NMC-recognized college.
  • Must have completed or be scheduled to complete the mandatory 12-month rotatory internship by the official cutoff date.
  • Must hold permanent or provisional medical registration issued by NMC or the Odisha Council of Medical Registration.
  • State Quota: Must satisfy Odisha permanent residency/domicile conditions, holding a valid Odisha Resident Certificate.
