Puducherry NEET PG Counselling 2026 is the centralized, merit-based admission process for postgraduate medical courses (MD, MS) across government, private, and deemed medical colleges in the Union Territory of Puducherry. The counselling procedure is strictly administered by the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Government of Puducherry.

Admissions are structured under distinct quotas:

  1. Government Quota: Reserved for local residents/domiciles of Puducherry across participating state and private medical institutions.
  2. Management & NRI Quota: Open to all-India candidates across private medical colleges (such as Mahatma Gandhi Medical College - MGMCRI and Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences - PIMS) and Deemed Universities, offering dedicated management and 15% NRI quota seats.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Qualifying Examination: Must have qualified NEET PG 2026 conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) with the required minimum qualifying percentile.
  • Academic Qualification: Must possess a recognized MBBS degree and completed mandatory internship.
  • Medical Council Registration: Must hold a valid NMC or State Medical Council registration.
  • Domicile & Open Status: For Government Quota, candidates must satisfy CENTAC residential/domicile criteria. Management and NRI quotas are open to all-India and overseas aspirants.
