Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling 2026: Official Process, Seat Matrix, Management & NRI Quota

Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling 2026 is the centralized, merit-based state admission process for MD, MS and PG Diploma courses across government, society, and private self-financing medical colleges, administered online by the NEET PG Medical and Dental Admission/Counselling Board (SMS Medical College, Jaipur) on behalf of RUHS.

50% of postgraduate seats in Rajasthan Government Medical Colleges are surrendered to the AIQ managed by MCC, while the remaining 50% of government seats, society college seats, and 100% of private self-financing college seats are administered by the Rajasthan State Counselling Board.

1. State Quota (50% in Government & Society Colleges)

  • Seat Share: 50% of seats in Government and Society Medical Colleges (SMS Medical College Jaipur, RNT Medical College Udaipur, SN Medical College Jodhpur, JLN Medical College Ajmer).
  • Eligibility: Reserved for candidates with valid Rajasthan domicile/residency, or MBBS from a recognized Rajasthan college; reservation applies for SC, ST, STA, OBC, MBC, EWS, PwD.
  • Fee Structure: Highly subsidized government fee scale.

2. Management Quota (Private & Society Medical Colleges)

  • Seat Share: Open management seats across Private Self-Financing and Society Medical Colleges (e.g. RUHS College of Medical Sciences Jaipur).
  • Eligibility: Open to NEET PG qualified aspirants nationwide; Rajasthan domicile not mandatory.
  • Fee Structure: Regulated private tuition fee, varying by specialization.

3. NRI Quota (Private Self-Financing Medical Colleges)

  • Seat Share: Up to 15% of institutional intake in private self-financing colleges; government colleges offer no NRI/Management Quota.
  • Eligibility: Open to NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, foreign nationals, and NRI-sponsored Indian candidates.
  • Fee Structure: Premium international fee tier in USD or INR equivalent for high-demand specialties.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have qualified NEET PG 2026 with the required minimum percentile (50th Gen/EWS, 40th SC/ST/OBC/MBC/STA, 45th UR-PwD).
  • Must possess a recognized MBBS degree or provisional pass certificate from an NMC-recognized college.
  • Must have completed or be scheduled to complete the mandatory 12-month rotatory internship by September 30, 2026.
  • Must hold permanent or provisional medical registration issued by NMC, MCI, or the Rajasthan Medical Council.
  • State Quota: Must satisfy Rajasthan domicile conditions or MBBS completion from a recognized Rajasthan institution; non-Rajasthan candidates are eligible only for Management and NRI Quota.
  • NRI Quota: candidate or sponsor must hold documented NRI/OCI/PIO status; sponsor must legally establish a direct blood relationship if sponsored, with a sworn affidavit, passport, residence proof, and bank statements.

The application workflow for Rajasthan NEET PG 2026 across all quotas is conducted strictly online via the official state counselling portal.

  1. Portal Registration (Part 1): Register with NEET PG Roll Number, Name, DOB, mobile number, and email.
  2. Payment of Application Fee & Security Deposit: Pay the non-refundable fee and category-wise security deposit online.
  3. Form Filling & Quota Claim (Part 2): Complete personal, academic, internship, and category details; select State, Management, or NRI Quota.
  4. Uploading Scanned Documents: Upload photograph, signature, scorecard, MBBS degree, internship certificate, registration certificate, and domicile proof.
  5. Profile Verification & Defect Rectification: Monitor status and rectify flagged document defects.
  6. Merit List Publication: The Admission Board publishes the official Merit List and Category Lists.
  7. Online Option Registration: Submit and lock preferred colleges and specialties in order of priority.
  8. Allotment & Reporting: Download the allotment letter, deposit tuition fees via NEFT/RTGS, and report physically for verification.
