The Uttar Pradesh NEET UG Counselling 2026 is one of the largest and most competitive medical admission processes in India. It is centrally organized and administered by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Uttar Pradesh.
This counselling process governs the admission to the 85% state quota seats in government medical/dental colleges and 100% of seats in private medical/dental colleges across the state. Admissions are granted strictly based on the merit achieved in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2026. The UP NEET counselling is conducted online and generally spans three rounds, including a mop-up and stray vacancy round, featuring mandatory registration, high-security fee deposits, and online choice filling.
