Tripura NEET UG Counselling 2026: Dates, Eligibility, Application Process & Seat Allotment

Last Updated on April 17, 2026

The Tripura NEET UG Counselling 2026 is the official and centralized admission process for medical aspirants seeking MBBS, BDS, and BHMS/BAMS seats in the state. The counselling is meticulously organized and administered by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Government of Tripura.

Admissions for the 85% state quota seats in government medical colleges and the state quota seats in private institutions are granted strictly based on the merit achieved in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2026. In Tripura, the counselling process usually involves online registration, followed by mandatory physical document verification at a designated nodal center, and subsequent rounds of online choice filling and seat allotment.

How to apply

Official Website: All official notifications, the admission guidelines, and the online application portal are hosted exclusively on the DME Tripura website at dme.tripura.gov.in.

Follow these step-by-step instructions to apply:

  1. Official Notification: Monitor the dme.tripura.gov.in portal and local newspapers for the release of the "Tripura State NEET UG 2026 Counselling" notification.

  2. Online Registration: Visit the dedicated counselling portal (often linked via the DME site) and register using your NEET 2026 Roll Number, application number, and valid contact details.

  3. Fill the Application: Log in and accurately enter your personal details, academic history, and specifically your PRTC details and category claims (ST/SC/EWS).

  4. Pay Application Fee: Remit the non-refundable counselling registration fee via the secure online payment gateway.

  5. Physical Document Verification: Candidates who complete online registration must attend the physical document verification at the designated center (usually Agartala Government Medical College). Failure to do so disqualifies the candidate from the state merit list.

  7. Seat Allotment & Reporting: Download your provisional allotment letter if a seat is assigned, collect your original documents from the verification center (if retained), and report physically to the allotted college for final admission.
