This is a new Government Medical college coming up in the district of Coochbehar, West Bengal with up gradation of the existing Maharaja Jitendra Narayan Hospital, Coochbehar. It has started a humble beginning of its infrastructure in the year 2018. The institute is likely to start the admission of the students’ from the academic session 2019-20 provided the approval from the Medical Council of India is obtained.

The upcoming institute is sprawled over an area of 25 acres adjacent to the Panchanan Barma University. Attached to this college is the existing District Hospital, MJN Hospital not only to provide efficient patient care service to the people in the farthest corner of West Bengal but also to provide opportunity to 100 students to study the medical curriculum and apply their knowledge and expertise in the patient care service.
