Madhya Pradesh NEET UG Counselling 2026: Dates, Eligibility, Application Process & Seat Allotment

The Madhya Pradesh NEET UG Counselling 2026 is the official state-level admission process for medical aspirants seeking MBBS and BDS seats in government and private medical institutions across the state. The counselling is organized and regulated by the Department of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh.

Admissions for the 85% state quota seats are granted strictly on the basis of the merit and scores achieved in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2026. The entire DME MP counselling process is conducted online, encompassing profile creation, registration, publication of the state merit list, online choice filling and locking, and the final seat allotment, followed by physical reporting at the allotted colleges.

 

Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the DME MP NEET 2026 state counselling under the 85% state quota, candidates must strictly meet the following criteria:

  • Nationality & Domicile: The applicant must be an Indian citizen. The candidate must be a Bonafide Resident (Domicile) of Madhya Pradesh and possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by a competent authority of the state. (Note: Non-domicile candidates are only eligible for the NRI quota or leftover seats in private colleges in later rounds).

  • NEET Qualification: Candidates must have successfully cleared the NEET UG 2026 examination and secured the minimum cutoff percentile set by the NTA.

  • Academic Qualifications: Must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.

  • Minimum Marks: Unreserved (General) category candidates require a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in PCB. For SC/ST/OBC category candidates of MP, the minimum requirement is 40%, and for PwD, it is 45%.

  • Age Limit: The candidate must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2026.

Candidates must carry the following original documents along with self-attested photocopies during the physical reporting at the allotted medical college:

  • NEET UG 2026 Admit Card

  • NEET UG 2026 Scorecard / Rank Letter

  • Class 10th Marksheet and Certificate (Proof of Date of Birth)

  • Class 11th Marksheet

  • Class 12th Marksheet and Certificate

  • Madhya Pradesh Domicile Certificate

  • Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable) issued by the competent authority

  • Income Certificate (for OBC/EWS candidates claiming fee waivers)

  • MP Online Registration Receipt and Choice Filling Receipt

  • Valid Photo Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or PAN)

  • 6 to 8 Recent Passport-size Photographs

  • Medical Fitness Certificate

How to apply

Official Website: All official notifications, the admission portal, and merit lists are hosted on the DME MP portal at dme.mponline.gov.in.

Follow these step-by-step instructions to apply:

  1. Official Notification: Keep a close watch on the dme.mponline.gov.in portal for the release of the 2026 DME MP counselling schedule.

  2. Profile Creation: Click on "Create Profile" on the portal. Enter your NEET 2026 Roll Number and Secret Key (Password) to link your NEET data.

  3. Registration: Fill in your personal details, academic history, bank account details, and strictly define your MP domicile and category status.

  4. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-size photograph, signature, and necessary certificates (like Domicile and Caste certificates).

  5. Pay Application Fee: Remit the non-refundable registration fee via the secure MP Online payment gateway.

  6. State Merit List & Choice Filling: After DME MP publishes the State Merit List, log in to the portal to submit your preferences for medical colleges and courses. Lock your choices before the deadline.

  7. Seat Allotment & Reporting: If a seat is allotted, download your provisional allotment letter, pay the required admission fee online/offline as specified, and report to the allotted college for physical document verification.
