The Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling 2026 is the official and centralized admission process for medical aspirants seeking seats in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, and other allied health science courses across the state. The counselling is organized and strictly administered by the State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Government of Maharashtra, Mumbai.
Admissions for the 85% state quota seats in government/municipal corporation colleges and 100% of seats in private/unaided medical institutions are granted entirely on the basis of merit and scores achieved in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2026. The CET Cell conducts multiple Centralised Admission Process (CAP) rounds involving online registration, publication of the State Merit List (SML), online preference (choice) filling, and final seat allotment.
