Tamil Nadu MBBS Counselling 2025 - Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu releases the rank list of Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS admissions under the Government as well as Management quota. A link of Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2025 rank list will be provided here once released.

DME will conduct counselling of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2025 for 85% seats under state quota and 100% seats in self financing colleges in Tamil Nadu. Candidates who will be included in the Tamil Nadu NEET merit list 2025 will be called for counselling.

Three rounds of Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2025 including a mop-up round will be conducted. During Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS counselling students will be asked to submit their choices of courses and colleges they wish to get admission into. Based on the choices filled, NEET UG score, state merit rank, reservation, and other factors, Tamil Nadu MBBS seat allotment will be done. Candidates who will be allotted seats during counselling of Tamil Nadu NEET 2025 will have to report to the allotted institute for reserving their admission

Eligibility Criteria

The authority determines the basic criteria for getting admission to MBBS. The following few lines cover the most important aspects that a candidate needs to keep in mind before getting himself or herself admitted to the colleges.

• Nationality: candidate must be an Indian citizen.
• Domicile Candidate: The candidate must be a bona fide resident of TN.
• Candidates who have completed their class 6 to 12 education from the state are not required to submit the nativity certificate. However, they have to submit their parent’s birth certificate ration card, SSLC/10/12 certificate, or no graduate certificate if their parents are illiterate.
• Applications from other states living in Tamil Nadu are not considered domicile and must be admitted in the open category.
• Domiciles of Tamil Nadu who have completed their partial education from class 6 to 12th in another state must submit the important documents of their parents as mentioned above. A permanent residence certificate will not be accepted as an alternative to the nativity certificate.
• Age Limit: Candidates must be 17 years old. The upper age limit for NEET is 25 years for the general category and 30 years for SC ST and OBC.
• Education: The candidate must have completed class 12th in the required subjects(PCB) with biotechnology and English as the main subjects from the state.
• The unreserved category must have at least 50% in PCB, while SC ST and OBC students must obtain 40% in the required subjects.

• Candidates applying under special category will have to carry the filled special category form (special category include persons with disabilities, sports persons and ex-servicemen)

• Candidates who have studied class 6 to 12 from Tamil Nadu will have to submit parent’s certificate as a proof of domicile

• Candidates who have partly completed class 6 to 12 from outside Tamil Nadu will have to submit nativity certificate

• Community certificate

• Transfer certificate

How to apply

• Step 1: The candidate must visit the official website. 
• Step 2: Candidates should fill out the form online on www.tnhealth.org and submit the filled-in online application form after uploading the details in the required fields. With necessary enclosures, students should send the printout filled in an online application form.
• Step 3: The cost of the application form, which is Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only), should be paid through the Bank payment portal on the websites or through the Demand Draft that is drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-10” payable at Chennai.
• Step 4: Students should send the Application form to THE SECRETARY, SELECTION COMMITTEE, 162, PERIYAR E.V.R. HIGH ROAD, KILPAUK, CHENNAI – 10.
• Step 5: Then, the Merit List will be published. The “Save & Continue” button.
• Step 6: And finally, the Result will be published.
• Step 7: Students must undergo Document Verification, fee submission, and reporting.
• Step 8: Students can go for the up-gradation or surrender their seats.
• Step 7: A person is eligible to participate in the Mop-up round if, after the 2nd round, there is no allotment happened.
