The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala has released an important notification today for all domestic medical aspirants who appeared for NEET (UG) 2026 and are aiming for MBBS/BDS admissions in Kerala through the KEAM process. The CEE Kerala has strictly directed candidates who have not yet uploaded essential certificates for claim of any category reservations to do so immediately. The central Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) AIQ rounds run parallel to state rounds, making this Kerala-specific verification window vital. This is the only chance to ensure your eligibility for critical state quota reservation benefits. Candidates visiting my Pune office to strategize their options are prioritizing this step immediately.
To ensure your claims are verified by the CEE Kerala, you must strictly adhere to the following schedule:
Final Date for Upload: Candidates must upload their relevant certificates on the KEAM candidate portal no later than July 15, 2026 (5:00 PM).
The documents must be uploaded under the 'Upload Certificates' section on the KEAM website.
The notification specifies that only online submissions will be accepted. The mandatory documents typically required for verification include:
Original Admit Card of NEET-UG 2026.
Certificate to prove the date of birth (SSLC/10th Certificate).
Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (if applicable) for state reservation claims.
Category/Community Certificate (for SC/ST/OEC/SEBC etc.).
Income Certificate (for specific fee concession or category claims).
Physically Disabled (PD) Certificate (if applicable, verified by a medical board).
Minority Category Certificates (for specific minority institution claims).
This notification highlights a crucial juncture in the Kerala state counselling process. If you fail to upload the correct and original documents before the strict July 15 deadline, you will be considered only for the general merit (All India Quota) or Unreserved (UR) category in the subsequent counselling rounds. This can significantly reduce your chances of securing a seat in desired colleges, given the highly competitive nature of Kerala MBBS cut-offs, something my 19 years of medical counselling experience has consistently confirmed.
I urge all candidates: Do not wait until the last minute. Log in to your KEAM portal now, review the required list based on your application, and ensure all original, legible documents are uploaded. With parallel MCC AIQ counselling, timely state verification is essential to secure your backup options. Ensure you consult with an expert if you are unsure of specific document formats for Kerala state claims.
